It's awful to lose something that important, and then to worry about it. I lost my glasses (in my glasses case) one day, and I was running around frantically trying to find them. Finally, as a last resort, my mom checked the trash bag from the kitchen, and found my glasses case, with the glasses inside. Absent-minded as I can be, and must have been, I had thrown them away. Talk about a close call!
At least they weren't gone long enough for me to lie awake at night and worry.
